"I originally founded Capitol Tattoo in 1985 as Al's Tattoos in Laurel, MD. I completed my apprenticeship under Tattoo Lou in Clearwater, FL in 1978 and worked for Lou's Tattoos for several years before opening my own shop. The shop was relocated to its present location in Silver Spring in 1992. Capitol Tattoo Ink. is backed with 45 years of industry experience. All of our artists have been trained in the art of tattooing and have undergone extensive apprenticeships to achieve their place in this age old profession. We are members of the Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce, The Better Business Bureau, and the Alliance of Professional Tattooists.
